These are a direct replacement for the original Lotus type with steel bearing housing eliminating the associated corrosion and bearing fit problems of the original alloy units. These have been designed to accept both the early Elan and later Plus 2 wheel bearing arrangement as used by Lotus or the twin large wheel bearings as used on our Rear Suspension Conversion systems. The struts will accept both the original Lotus size and a 2.25" spring, both incorporates adjustable ride height as standard. @ = each

Only chrome vanadium springs are supplied by Spyder to ensure correct free and loaded lengths, proper rate (spring stiffness), consistent ride height and freedom from sagging. The springs above have been designed by Spyder and do not necessarily have the same wire diameter or number of coils as those supplied originally by Lotus Cars. STRUT INSERTS AND DAMPERS: REAR Spax with external adjustment to suit the Chapman strut layout, pre-set and ready for use.
Spax rear dampers to suit the R.S.C. systems.
