1 The Elans fuel tank is mounted high so there's no need to fit a pump to keep the swirl pot filled. So it's gravity fed and the high pressure pump takes its fuel from there to the fuel rail.

4 Spyder use a custom radiator for their Zetec conversions. Cooling fans work more efficiently pushing through the rad rather than pulling through it. Fan is auto switched.

5 The standard Zetec coil-pack is retained in Spyder's conversion and it's mounted on the bulkhead. Mondeo HT leads are very short so mounting options are limited.

3 The green cone type air filter mounted in the front of the radiator at the very front of the car, where it can collect cool air. We still see a lot of cars with no filter. You need one.

6 Spyder modify the original Lotus pedal box to take a cable clutch instead of the hydraulic master cylinder that used to live here. Clutch action is lighter than the original.
