The free and loaded lengths of the Spyder chrome vanadium front springs may
differ from the original. To obtain the correct normal ride height we recommend
a damper open dimension of 11.25" for the series 2 model and 10.625" -
10.750" for the Twin cam and Special models.
This measurement refers to the dimension between the upper and lower damper
mounting centres and should be taken under the correct conditions. (see notes on
page 4 under " rear suspension information"). Since the weight of the
sprung mass can vary from car to car (weight of body shell and contents) fitting
damper units with adjustable spring seats is the most effective way of achieving
correct ride heights.

The inboard ends of the Spyder tubular wishbones, for the Europa are
reinforced by unequal length wraps. The outer ends of the lower front wishbone
(where the spring /damper and trunnion attaches) have been designed to combat
bolt hole elongation. The wishbones are finished in a durable black powder coat
and are supplied with outer bolts, washers and nylocs.
